ELECTION 2014 | Caldier holds slim lead over Seaquist in District 26 House race

New results on Nov. 6 in the District 26 state representative Position 2 race, shows Republican candidate Michelle Caldier has a 242-vote lead over incumbent State Rep. Larry Seaquist.

New results on Nov. 6 in the District 26 state representative Position 2 race, shows Republican candidate Michelle Caldier, of Port Orchard, has a 242-vote lead over incumbent State Rep. Larry Seaquist, a Democrat from Gig Harbor.

Caldier has 21,938 voters (50.2 percent) to 21,696 for Seaquist (49.7), according to the state’s Secretary of State election results.

In the other district state representative race, State Rep. Jesse Young increased his lead from 5 to 7 points after new numbers from the state were released. Young has 23,293 (53.3 percent) compared to Democratic challenger Nathan Schlicher’s 20,397.

In the race for the district’s Senate seat, Republican incumbent Sen. Jan Angel still holds a comfortable lead over Democratic challenger Judy Arbogast.

Angel has 25,701 (58.5 percent) to Arbogast’s 18,254 votes (41.5).
