Born April 23, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Morris and Molly Horvitz Sederholm. Preceded in death by 2 older brothers, Burton of Durham, NC and Harris of Dartmouth, MA. Don was raised in New Bedford, MA., schooled at Illinois Institute of Technology and served in the US Army in the early 1950’s; and including a tour of duty in Germany.
Don and life partner Max Hayslette lived and worked in Chicago until 1962 when they moved to Seattle to work on projects at the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair. They moved to Bainbridge Island in 1973 where they founded the art publishing and distribution firm of Olympus Graphics and Olympus Atelier until 1984.
Don was an avid crossword puzzle creator and international traveler; enjoying his trips to much of Europe and Asia. Don was known for his sense of humor and was a current events enthusiast.
He is survived by his partner at their home in Poulsbo, WA and many nephews and nieces in North Carolina, Virginia, Massachusetts and Texas. Don passed away on Wednesday, Nov 24, 2021 at St Michael Medical Center, Silverdale, WA., age 91. At his request, there was no service.
