POULSBO — Lisa D. Likens, 43, of Poulsbo, is charged in Kitsap County Superior Court with first-degree theft.
On March 21, the victim reported that his employee, Likens — also known as Lisa Scarbrough — had allegedly been using company credit cards for personal use. She had been given two credit cards for company use.
The company’s forensic account audit found $160,000 of unexplained charges, according to the report. During the company’s investigation, Likens was found to have “manipulated numerous reports to hide personal charges she had made on the company’s credit cards.”
Likens “denied any wrongdoing” to her employer. According to the report, one specific charge, at Lowe’s in Silverdale on feb. 9, surveillance video shows Likens at the store and the receipt with Likens’ name on it. The company also discovered one of the cards was used to pay for utilities, such as Puget Sound Energy.
A Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputy served a search warrant on Likens’ residence on April 17, where she again denied any theft. According to the report, Likens later admitted to using the cards for personal use. She told the officer she paid back all the charged she made, but had no proof of repayment.
During the search, several receipts were found from the personal charges, and many of the items — such as laptops, Nintendo game systems, and Beats headphones — were found at Likens’ residence.
