• Overview: Time of possession often is an overrated statistic, but it will be important for the Wolves to keep Gig Harbor’s offense off the field. Chantler runs a spread offense and he has a signal-caller, Alexander, who runs it effectively. Through four games, the Tides have averaged a 4A Narrows-best 43 points per game. Alexander has several experienced receivers returning that complement a strong running game. According to the Peninsula Gateway, junior running back Adrian Valona had 100 yards and three touchdowns during last week’s win. Gig Harbor’s defense also has limited opponents to 17.3 points per game, which ranks third in the seven-team 4A Narrows. The Tides have won three of the last four games against South in the rivalry.
