The Kingston Farmers Market is in full swing! Baked goods and plentiful produce … eggs, pork, chicken and cheese … broccoli, greens, carrots, berries, peaches.
The veggies are in! And hand-poured chocolates and organic USDA-certified eggs and flowers and artisan cheese and soda and smoked fish and breads and local wine in bio-degradable containers — August really is the farmers market month!
The Kingston Farmers Market Season is well under way, with beautiful sunny days at the Port of Kingston. During May, we’ve enjoyed fresh greens and plant starts, with an eye toward June’s wider array of fresh produce.
Looking about the market on a recent sunny Saturday, I got to thinking about the special role our Farmers Market plays in Kingston.
