Kitsap Regional Library has a new circulation system called Polaris. By the time you read this, our branches should be up and running with the new catalog.
Take a break and visit us for a program or a new title. Ask us how to download free music using Freegal Music from our website.
When you visit our library, please say hello to our new Youth Services librarian, Whitney Chamberlin.
Read a book, review it at our website www.krl.org, and enter a drawing for a gift card at a bookstore.
As 2011 comes to an end, I want to thank Jerrianne Helberg, former president of Kingston Friends of the Library, for her many years of enthusiastic service. She was a joy to work with during my first year as branch manager of the Kingston Library.
A new Village Green Community Center with a library, Boys & Girls Club, senior center and community meeting room will be built in Kingston. Be a part of the process by joining us in a Volunteer Spaghetti Feed and Brainstorming evening, Nov. 6 at 4:30 p.m. at the Oak Table Café in Kingston.
One thing about summer which will be missed is the booth Kingston Library had at the Kingston Farmers Market. Youth Services Librarian Emily Jones and volunteers Shari Evans and Agatha Garcia read books to children for an hour every Saturday rain or shine. Thanks to Clinton Dudley for setting up the canopy each week for us.
