Another new store has opened up in downtown that has caught the eyes of downtown shoppers.

Buddy’s Good Eye, owned by Todd Hintz and Luis Balbosa, opened on Nov. 8 and the store has received good response during its first month of operation.

The store has a variety of items including furniture, artwork, pottery, dishes, knick-knacks, unique and one-of-a-kind items, and other miscellanous items.

Hintz, who works in Seattle, said he is constantly looking for items to sell in his shop.

“I look for stuff all the time,” he said. “It’s just a hobby.”

The co-owner said he goes to vintage stores shopping for items, while his sister, Teri, cruises the internet looking for unique items.

“She’s giving me leads on where to go when she finds something interesting online,” Todd Hintz said.

Teri Hintz said most of the customers have come in because of foot traffic or by word of mouth.

“We’ve had a lot of customers who tell us they are coming back and bringing their family or friends,” said Teri Hintz

The store has a variety of items including furniture, artwork, pottery, dishes, knick-knacks, unique and one-of-a-kind items, and other miscellanous items.

“We’ve got a mixture of vintage and antiques, along with some new,” said Teri Hintz. “The owners shop around looking for items to sell in the store. They just have an eye for it.”

The owners have been collecting items for years.

“They had so many items they decided to open up a shop,” Teri Hintz said.  “The items are a good value and you can’t beat the prices. Shoppers can’t find these deals anywhere else.”

The store is located at 745 Bay St., next to Olympic Bike Shop. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
