A new networking group has been established in Kitsap County that targets the building industry. Building Industry Network of Kitsap is a group of local business owners and industry professionals that work directly with or support the building industry. Meetings are weekly (Thursday mornings) at the All Star Lanes in Silverdale.

New members are now being accepted, however only one business segment/profession is allowed in the group, to avoid competition. Current members include businesses in the following fields: floor & window coverings, crawl space encapsulation, kitchen cabinets, solid surface counter tops, banker, realtor, construction house cleaning, tile cleaner, painter, employment services and an interior designer.

Taprock serving breakfast

POULSBO — Taprock Northwest Grill is now serving breakfast from 7-11 a.m. seven days a week. The breakfast menu offers more than two dozen traditional and specialty breakfast dishes.

Taprock is located in the Poulsbo Village shopping center on State Route 305 where Mitzel’s once stood.

“When the community voiced their request for Taprock to add breakfast, we took it to heart and developed a breakfast menu that we’re very proud of, said Dennis Waldron,” CEO of ERI, Taprock’s parent company.

Kitsap Bank recognizes milestone anniversaries

PORT ORCHARD— Kitsap Bank recently recognized several employees for reaching milestone anniversaries in 2008. Betsy Pentz, vice president/customer service manager, recently celebrated her 35th year of service. With 30 years to their credit are Larry Krueger, senior vice president/chief audit executive, and Kevin Geister, assistant vice president/information technology officer. Alice Chigbrow, teller at the Kingston branch, and Lori Swengel, teller at the East Bremerton branch each reached their 25th year with the bank.

“We are very pleased to honor these individuals for their selfless dedication to our organization,” said James Carmichael, president/chief executive officer. “They have shown commitment to Kitsap Bank’s success through excelling in their positions and providing outstanding customer service.”
