The Silverdale branch of Guardian Security Systems Inc. recently announced that fire alarm and security technician Nick Minks completed the 4,000 on-the-job training hours and passed the necessary state testing to secure his EL06 license required to be a journeyman low-voltage technician.
Minks’ experience consists of residential and commercial security installation along with fire alarm service and inspections. He also is an expert on installing the AESIntellinet radio communication device that allows fire and security monitoring without the need for conventional telephone lines.
Minks came to Washington via Alaska in January 2008 after marrying his longtime girlfriend who was born and raised in Kitsap County. Minks and his wife currently reside in Bremerton.
