County resident earns national honors for caregiving
Kitsap County resident Theresa Adams was recently honored by CK Franchising Inc. for her dedication and commitment to the Comfort Keepers mission and vision.
Adams was selected as the Northwest regional winner in the 2007 Comfort Keeper of the Year program which recognizes outstanding caregivers.
The award will be presented during the Comfort Keepers Annual Conference May 28-31 in Tucson, Ariz. Adams competed against other Comfort Keepers from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and Utah.
Comfort Keepers were nominated for the honor by their local franchise owners based on their demonstration of outstanding values and practices including a high standard of caregiving excellence, outstanding skill competency including a desire for continued education, exceptional service, excellent client and family communication skills and consistency in delivering these high standards of care.

welcomes Adamski and Geiger
Art Anderson Associates recently welcomed new employees Marnie Adamski and Clinton Geiger. Adamski, a designer/drafter, and Geiger, an electrical engineer, joined the engineering consulting firm to help meet the needs of a new project. The project, a design-build contract being executed in partnership with native-owned Alutiiq Inc. will upgrade facilities at Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island to accomodate the new E/A-18G “Growler,” the Navy’s replacement for the E/A-6B “Prowler” Airborne Electronic Attack aircraft.
Adamski will work as the designer/drafter on the project and recently obtained her associate’s degree at Clover Park Technical College. Prior to her career in design, she was an elementary school teacher and holds a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University.
Geiger is a registered professional engineer in the state of Washington and will work as the project’s electrical engineer. He has a strong background in Department of Defense facilities. His most recent experience was for Overstreet Electric.
