Wilson joins Home Instead Senior Care
Nita Wilson joined the Home Instead Senior Care staff. She will be working as their new community service representative.
Wilson has worked in the health care field on both a personal and professional level for several years and is an active member of the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce.

Those who complete the Certified Companion Aide program have successfully completed an exclusive training program specially designed for companion caregivers. The program focuses on 19 essential subjects including professionalism, understanding aging, chronic medical conditions, nutritional needs and other areas.

Control Contractors opens Silverdale office
Control Contractors Inc. of Seattle announced the further expansion of branch offices to include Silverdale. Control Contractors has offices in Alaska, Oregon, Texas and Washington and works on HVAC systems, lighting and mechanical systems to improve efficiency and comfort in existing buildings and new construction. Control Contractors “Smart Building Solutions,” certified energy managers, LEED AP’s and Web-based building management systems help customers become Energy Star or LEED certified.
The new Silverdale office is headed by Darin Veach, operations manager and 12-year employee of Control Contractors.

Olive Garden manager trains
in Italy
Silverdale Olive Garden General Manager Daniel Banales traveled to Italy to participate in company-sponsored training where he and 12 other managers spent a week learning about Italian culture and cuisine and enhancing their culinary skills at Olive Garden’s Culinary Institute of Tuscany.
Each year, Olive Garden selects about 100 managers to travel to Italy as part of the restaurant’s ongoing culinary training program. Banales worked under the direction of Olive Garden executive chefs during his trip. He also toured Olive Garden’s Riserva di Fizzanao restaurant and the Rocca delle Macie winery. He also did some sightseeing.
