Dental Hygienists day
Dental hygienists Beverly Frye and Charlene Meagher of Bremerton met last month with state Sen. Tim Sheldon, D-Potlatch, during the Washington State Dental Hygienists’ Association’s annual legislative day. More than 300 dental hygienists and dental hygiene students met with lawmakers to discuss proposals that would affect professionals and the public. Talks focused on proposed changes that could add a new dental therapy dimension to dental hygiene practice in Washington.
Detox class
Chiropractic Lifestyle Center in East Bremerton will host a free class on metabolic detoxification beginning at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 15. Participants will learn how the body gets rid of toxic substances and why it matters to one’s health and well-being. All class attendees will receive a discount on detox products and successful participants will be entered in a raffle for a free one-hour massage.
