Olympic Medical Imaging Consultants consolidated the Olympic Radiology and Advanced Medical Imaging nuclear medicine departments into a single department located at Olympic Radiology.

Nuclear medicine services will no longer be provided at AMI.

“The community gains greater access to subspecialty nuclear medicine-trained physicians who will oversee the department protocols and join Olympic Radiology Associates physicians in providing interpretation services,” Olympic Radiology stated in a news release.

The equipment has been upgraded to a dual-head camera, which enables physicians to provide myocardial perfusion and stress tests as well as shorter exam times.

Dan West, of AMI, joins Marian Murdoch in providing technical nuclear medicine services to Olympic Radiology.

Dan Weedin gives presentation

Dan Weedin, local consultant and communications effectiveness coach for business leaders, gave an educational presentation for the Toastmasters Region 1 Conference in Oakland, Calif. June 20.

More than 200 Toastmasters from British Columbia to Northern California, including Utah, Idaho and Wyoming, attended the conference. Weeding gave a 60-minute presentation on how to leverage the use of stories in business presentations to more effectively deliver a message.

Weedin is a member of two Toastmasters clubs in Kitsap County. He recently was quoted in Toastmaster Magazine on the topic of effective networking with improved communication skills.
