POULSBO — Jenell DeMatteo, MS, is the new executive director of The Arc of Kitsap & Jefferson Counties.

Her first day on the job was Oct. 17.

The Arc, a 501(c)3 social service agency, works through advocacy, education and support to improve the quality of life for people living with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

A long-time employee at The Arc, DeMatteo served as an advocate, peer support coordinator, camp director, and social event manager.

DeMatteo brings 15 years’ experience in similar non-profits. She is a resident of Port Hadlock.
