POULSBO — The Boat Guy’s Winter Rendezvous — and Glogg Fest — drew crowds to downtown Poulsbo and gave a jolt to the local economy Feb. 6-8.
Glogg samples were handed out at six downtown locations. Glögg — it’s known as mulled wine in North America — is commonly made with red wine, sugar, spices such as bitter orange, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and optionally stronger spirits such as akvavit, brandy or vodka. In addition to glogg, Marina Market gave out samples of pickled herring prepared with Aquavit, juniper berries and orange peel.
