Manager Steve Hancock said 45 people will be hired to staff a Jack in the Box under construction on Olhava Way, near Walmart. The fast-food restaurant is expected to open in May, Hancock said.

The restaurant will be open 24 hours, staffed by three shifts. The management team is in place; available jobs include front counter, grill, prep, and maintenance. Wages will range from minimum wage to more “based on skill level,” and employees can earn raises based on their evaluations, Hancock said.

“It’s an open-interview process,” Hancock said. “It’s a chance to come in, fill out an application, and sit down and talk with us.”

Many Jack in the Box fast-food restaurants are franchises; the Olhava Way location will be owned by the Jack in the Box corporation in San Diego, Hancock said.
