Pet Appreciation Week at Tractor Supply Sept. 13-17

PORT ORCHARD — Attention all four-legged critters: The Port Orchard Tractor Supply Company is welcoming all leashed, friendly animals to visit the store during Pet Appreciation Week Sept. 13-17.

The store is at 1415 Olney Ave. SE.

The retailer’s biggest pet food and supply sale of the year coincides with Pet Appreciation Week, said Brandon Pettbrese, spokesman for Tractor Supply. “Pet Appreciation Week is our time to meet and celebrate every pet you could imagine finding out here,” he said.

The store will kick off the week with a pet supply drive to support local pet and animal groups that it partners with. Customers can drop off new, sealed food, toys, cleaning supplies and other essential pet accessories such as beds, scratching posts, leashes and bowls to donate to local rescues and shelters in the Port Orchard community.

On Sept. 16, the store also will host a Pet Appreciation Week community event featuring pet adoptions, demonstrations on pet nutrition and a free dental dog treat for customers while supplies last.
