Fifth annual Port Gamble Ghost Conference

Oct. 24–26

Port Gamble, the most haunted town in the Pacific Northwest, lets its skeletons out of the closet in October for the fifth annual Port Gamble Ghost Conference.

The conference is designed to appeal to anyone with an interest in paranormal phenomena, from dedicated experts to the curious novice, the uncertain skeptic and the lover of ghost stories.

Over the course of three days, paranormal experts will share personal experiences and lead discussions on using paranormal equipment, interpreting findings and developing professional protocol during investigations.

The conference also offers popular hands-on experiences. The popular Ghost Walk tour serves as an introduction to Port Gamble’s paranormal history and its buildings through the stories and a walking tour. There are several opportunities to participate in investigations of some of the town’s most “active” buildings.

Cost to attend the conference is $55 per person, or $50 for members of paranormal groups.

Visit the Port Gamble Paranormal website at www.portgamble.wix.com/pt-gamble-paranormal for conference details, registration forms, schedule of events and conference speaker bios. For information or to register by credit card, contact the conference office at 360-297-8074 or via email at portgamble@orminc.com.

Ghosts & Magic

Paranormal enthusiasts are excited about the new store Mrs. Muir’s House of Ghosts & Magic.

In late August, Port Gamble experienced the manifestation of a fun and definitely unique shop that caters to the curiosities that exist in all of us. Mrs. Muir’s House of Ghosts & Magic was opened by No. 7 Books owners Danya Simkus and Rik Scott. All ages are welcome in this shop that carries everything from basic magic sets to visually astonishing tarot card sets.

They look forward to carrying equipment that most paranormal investigators use like EMF meters, digital audio recorders, Mel-Meters, and of course batteries and flashlights. They are currently putting together events.

They are open every weekend in Port Gamble in the famous House 10, the Jackson House. Give them a call at 360-881-0489 to find out all of the happenings in this new and fun shop.
