Xealyus Martinez, owner of Steel Horsin’ Around, held a grand opening for the store on Nov. 15.

The store is located at 837 Bay St., Port Orchard.

Steel Horsin’ Around offers old-time photos of the Old West, the roaring Twenties and pirates.

Martinez said it also offers persons the opportunity to “think outside of the corral” with family portraits, wedding announcements, anniversaries, holidays, baby shower invitations or vacation memories.

The store has an array of costumes to fit all sizes. Photographs can be ready minutes and no appointment is necessary. Normal store hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Martinez said during the Festival of Chimes and Lights on Dec. 6, individuals — even pets — can have their photo taken with Santa.

Martinez announced he has joined the Antique and Amusement Photographers International (AAPI) Association.

AAPI is a professional association for photographers and vendors specializing in souvenir photography including antique or “old-time photos,” special events, historical re-enactments, and amusement portraits.
