TO LOCAL CHARITY

The Head Hunter, an Aveda Concept Salon Spa in Poulsbo on Front Street, raised $1,000 for Earth Month, which they donated to the Puget Sound Keeper’s Alliance.

In the month of April, the Aveda network picks an organization and each of its salons and stylists donate services and funds from product sales on Earth Day for this cause.

Aveda exceeded their Earth Month goal of $2.3 million by donating a reported $2.8 million.

CREDIT UNION NAMES

NEW SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT

Kitsap Credit Union named George Hall as the new senior vice president and chief lending officer.

Hall began his lending career in 1976 at Pacific First Federal in Tacoma working in loan servicing. After 32 years in the lending industry, Hall joins Kitsap Credit Union from Yakima Valley Credit Union where he served as the Chief Lending Officer.

“I’m very pleased to welcome George to our Senior Management team,” said Elliot Gregg, Kitsap Credit Union president and chief executive officer. “He brings a wealth of lending experience and knowledge to our Credit Union and has demonstrated his commitment to the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ throughout the years. I’m looking forward to working with him as he provides professional guidance to our various lending departments.”

Hall’s primary goal at the credit union is to serve members, volunteers, the community and co-workers through sound business practices and upholding high ethical standards. His responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing the Credit Union’s 75 year tradition of providing safe, sound and secure lending programs and services. Hall will place emphasis on enhancing member loyalty, reviewing loan products and services, and ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations.

TATU BBQ OPENS ANOTHER LOCATION ON BOND ROAD

Award winning Texas-style Tatu BBQ, LLC opens up another site at 26343 Bond Road.

Owner and chef Patrick Momany has been in business for more than two years at the Lemolo Market in Poulsbo. He sends a portion of the proceeds to feeding “our walking wounded heroes in Landstahl, Germany.”

BBQ will be served at this location Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout the summer.
