BREMERTON — The Visit Kitsap Peninsula Awards Committee announced that Sound Publishing received the 2015 Tourism Vision Award for Tourism Media Partner for its commitment to promote the Kitsap Peninsula as a premier destination for visitors and events, according to Lori Maxim, regional publisher and vice president of West Sound Division of newspapers.

The award was presented to Sound Publishing at the annual VKP meeting on March 12, at the Silverdale Beach Hotel.

“Sound Publishing — from its dedicated reporters, sales representatives, production staff, and management team — have provided professional, enthusiastic assistance to the VKP to create co-op media tourism programs that benefit businesses, organizations and non-profits,” said Patricia Graf-Hoke, executive director of Visit Kitsap Peninsula. “We couldn’t do it without Sound Publishing’s support and leadership.”

Sound Publishing publishes the Bainbridge Island Review, North Kitsap Herald, Kingston Community News, Central Kitsap Reporter, Bremerton Patriot, Port Orchard Independent and Veterans Life.
