Your recent letters about the method of electing a president needs some thorough thought.
Suggesting “land doesn’t vote, people do,” sounds good. However, in doing that, then our professional politicians will only target major large cities — say, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, New York, Boston and so on.
With Trump being the next president (the 15th in my lifetime) on Jan. 20, I pray “thinking” people will consider the ramifications of changing the Electoral College method of presidential elections. Think about all the people who live in the heartland states, plus smaller towns and rural areas like we have here in Washington.
