Someone just called me and threatened me that he would shut down my computer if I didn’t immediately send him $800 through Western Union or Walmart.

I did not pay.

He shut down my computer, changed the password on it so I couldn’t get into it again, and erased all my data. That also killed my home phone, my Wi-Fi, and my connection to my TV. I had to cancel all of my credit cards.

Please do not allow anyone to take control of your computer.
