I am pleased to see that Jim Henry is running for Poulsbo City Council this year.

Henry served previously on the city council and was a strong supporter for locating Wal-Mart here in Poulsbo. The tax revenues from that regional retailer have been a boon to the city treasury at a time when they were really needed.

These are tough time for government at all levels. Our city, like many other Washington cites, is facing a budget deficit next year. Henry is committed to bringing new jobs and economic growth to our community. That is a way to raise needed revenues without resorting to new taxes.

The citizens of Poulsbo will benefit greatly by adding Henry’s experience and leadership to our city council.
