The proposal for a community center in Port Orchard is preposterous.

This is just another developer looking for public funds to assist his own gain for a development. No way in the world should the boat ramp parking lot be made smaller or eliminated. This possibly is the most used boat ramp in the county. We do not need buildings on prime waterfront public property. I am sure Kitsap Bank would not give up any of their property either.

This developer also suggests the library could be in his new building. That would be really stupid. The library has a very valuable property that could be sold and they could relocate to another property and not be faced with rent or a long-term lease and have lots of parking space.
