On Sept. 8, the North Kitsap Schools Foundation will hold its annual Dine Out for NK Schools event.

I have had the pleasure of organizing this fundraiser for the past five years and I am always inspired by the way our restaurant owners enthusiastically participate, knowing it’s for students. This year, we have a record 18 local eateries as partners and I want to thank each one of them for their support of education and the students of NKSD.

All proceeds from the Dine Out fundraiser go toward NKSF grants, providing opportunities for innovative and enriched learning in our schools beyond what the state funds. On Sept. 8, please show your support for students and thank local businesses by dining out all day at:

Agate Pass Cafe, Bella Luna Pizzeria, ChocMo, The Filling Station, Green Light Diner, The Grub Hut, Hot Shots Java, Kachai Thai Kitchen, The Loft, Mi Sueno Tacos, Mora Iced Creamery (Poulsbo and Kingston), Puerto Vall arta, Richie’s Burger Urge, That’s-a-Some Italian Ristorante, Westside Pizza (Kingston and Poulsbo, dine in or delivery) and Yo!G’s Frozen Yogurt.
