So President Barack Obama still insists upon a six-month drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico, even after being told by a federal judge he has no constitutional authority for his proposed action.
Question: Does the president know the oil rigs will leave the Gulf and be moved to Africa, Brazil and anywhere else there is active drilling? And that they won’t be coming back any time soon, if ever?
Answer: Yes, of course he knows that.
Question: Does he know we will lose 10 percent of our total production which will lead to gas lines at the pumps and a large increase in the price of gasoline? And that we will be forced to buy fuel from Venezuela and Russia and other countries which don’t necessarily have our best interests at heart?
Answer: Yes, he’s fully aware of that.
Question: So then, since he’s aware of the consequences, why is he leading us down this destructive path of no return?
Answer: Do you remember the president’s campaign promise? Do you remember him talking about “Green Energy,” “Cap and Trade” and that our energy costs must be expected to rise exponentially? Do you remember Rahm Emanuel remarking “Never let a good crisis go to waste?” I remember all that and much, much more. And I’m scared.
Conclusion: This is only one of many unconstitutional maneuvers the president is involved in. Fortunately, we are not yet living under his tyrannical dictatorship. In my next letter, I will offer up, for what it’s worth, some stuff we can do to help thwart the Obama-Reid-Pelosi attempt to reduce the Constitution of the United States of America into a piece of scrap paper to be tossed into the wastebasket.
