Frustrated with direction of politics in this country

In the lawsuit "Fisher vs. University of Texas," by a 4-3 vote the court upheld the college’s Affirmative Action Policy and thereby confirmed that race can in fact be used as a consideration in determining who can (or cannot) be admitted into their educational system. Thus, the court has basically legalized the further discrimination against whites.

However, in this country a private small-business owner cannot refuse to make a cake or floral arrangements for a wedding of two homosexuals based on that business owner’s beliefs. Absolutely not; this is discrimination. But homosexuals can openly flaunt their sexuality on the streets of Seattle while people who find their lifestyle disgusting are chastised and called bigots. Personally, I find the use of the term “gay” insulting and exhibition of the “rainbow” flag just as offensive as blacks do the Confederate flag.

You can accuse a woman of being unhealthy because she’s too skinny, but if you comment that she is too fat, it’s bullying, sexist and/or discrimination. If you comment that a woman looks beautiful, you can be accused of sexual harassment. However, I find that most women still enjoy getting a casual compliment on appearance and continue to do so when the opportunity arises.

“African Americans” can use the “N” word with no repercussions and call us “white folks,” but if a white person refers to them as black, it’s racist. In part, I blame the federal government for promoting further discrimination along these lines due to their continued requirement to identify your race (African American, Native American, etc.) on federal forms and special programs for so-called minority groups.  If we were truly a land of equal opportunity, then why are we singling out one group or another for special privileges?

The term “neo-Nazi” can be used to describe a white supremacy group (and to clarify, I find these people disgusting) but it is politically incorrect to use “radical Islamist” to refer to certain terrorists, which are considerably more dangerous to the United States than the other.

I could go on, but I suppose you won’t print this anyway. If you do, I’m sure that some people will use all sorts of derogatory terms to describe me personally, but quite frankly I really don’t care.
