We have known Russ Hauge for a long time. And we have known for a long time Hauge is honest, hard-working, smart and dedicated to his job. But it is only this year by attending campaign events that we have learned more of his high level of service and accomplishments as our prosecutor.

Since being first elected in 1994, Hauge has put in place logical and fair practices to prosecute crimes. These practices have improved results for convictions. Many of these practices, innovative at origin, are now adopted by prosecutor offices statewide. And Hauge’s leadership has brought innovations that have led to cost-saving efficiencies. For example, diversion candidates must now take responsibility for their offenses before allowed into the program, increasing odds they will compete the program successfully, or face more sure prosecution. No more going back to square one with offenders that fail the program.
