Kingston Middle School would like to send out a great, big, public thank you to the following Kingston businesses: Albertsons, Borrowed Kitchen Bakery, Sweet Life Cakery, Little City Candy, and Food Market at Kingston.

They all generously contributed prizes to the inaugural Parent-Student Scavenger Hunt that took place on Oct. 29 during parent conferences. Both parents and students reported having fun following clues to search the school. It was clear, though, that what really inspired families to take on the challenge was the lure of prizes from our local businesses and the KMS Horticulture Club.

“A great place to live and learn” is the North Kitsap School District’s motto. This is true not just because of our dedicated employees, our hard-working students and our supportive parents, but also because of our amazing community members who are always ready to contribute to our schools.

As the holiday shopping season begins, please keep our local businesses in mind as a heartfelt thank you.
