President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi have stated unequivocally that House Resolution 3200 (Obamacare) will not cover illegal immigrants. Not true! According to the Congressional Research Service, the bill approved by the House Energy and Commerce Committee “does not contain any restrictions on non-citizens, whether legally or illegally present, or in the U.S. temporarily or permanently” from participating in what is called a Health Insurance Exchange which would begin in 2013.

This Health Insurance Exchange would offer private plans along side a public option. House Resolution 3200 has no provision requiring those seeking coverage or services to provide any proof of citizenship.
