We’re looking for support from the Kingston community as we work to raise funds for new computers for the North Kitsap Boys & Girls Club.
The North Kitsap Boys & Girls Club is one of our chosen Fund-a-Need programs at our Fall Fling Dinner & Auction on Oct. 4 at the Sons of Norway in Poulsbo. Simply put, auction goers raise their paddles at a certain dollar amount they’re comfortable giving. But you need a ticket! Please call Pauline Ostheller at 598-2239. Tickets are $40 each, and include a delicious dinner and a Dessert Dash, as well as entry into the silent and live auctions.
There are other ways to support your community. We are looking both for sponsors of the auction, as well as items to be donated. There are three sponsor choices: $500 gets you four tickets and an auction catalog full-page ad (5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches with margins); $250 gets you a half-page ad with two tickets; and new this year is a $100 business card ad, which is approximately one-quarter the size of the auction catalog. Please contact Dennis Peters, our Poulsbo Lions Club president and dinner auction chairman, at 360-930-0630.
Our first auction brought in $30,000 and benefitted everything from Fishline Food Bank, our Hearing Aids Fund, the Poulsbo Symphony Orchestra, Sound Works, and the narcotics dog for the Poulsbo Police Department to our Fund-a-Need organizations — the Poulsbo Elementary School computer lab and Retsil Veterans Home for Alzheimers boards.
We hope you’ll find a way to help our nonprofit club help our community!
