I note that the North Kitsap Herald and Kingston Community News have basically run the same story four times:
- Herald, Oct 14, “A tale of two property owners.”
- Herald, Oct. 28, “Want to cut trees in unincorporated Kitsap? …”
- Community News, November edition: “Tree cutting on slope worries neighbor.”
- Community News, December edition: “Want to cut trees in unincorporated Kitsap County? …”
Are you that short of stories to fill your newspapers that you have to continually recycle old news? Please move on. We’ve seen the story and don’t need to see the same old story published time after time. Doing so does not add any further information to the story.

Editor’s note: “Want to cut trees in unincorporated Kitsap? …” was a different story than the first you referenced, and focused on county rules regarding cutting trees. We will periodically republish news of Kingston- and Hansville-area importance in the Kingston Community News to ensure readers are aware of the issue. As you made clear, you did read these stories in both newspapers. We appreciate that — and appreciate you taking time to share your concerns.
