How to select a President

There are so many issues swirling around both candidates, coupled to the inevitable spin of confusion generated by all the mainstream media. One thing for sure: whatever our personal perception, we all want a fine, upstanding President who will be loyal and patriotic for our nation and “We the People.”

There are so many issues swirling around both candidates, coupled to the inevitable spin of confusion generated by all the mainstream media.

One thing for sure: whatever our personal perception, we all want a fine, upstanding President who will be loyal and patriotic for our nation and “We the People.”

Having said that, I would ask all Americans:

— Tell me if there is anything wrong with having a philosophy and goal for living in a great country and of putting America first?

— Is there anything wrong with wanting to protect our citizens from danger, foreign or domestic?

— Is there anything wrong with the desire to build the economy and create meaningful work, self reliance and personal responsibility?

— Is there a problem with supporting legal immigration and secure borders?

— How about nurturing solid international friendships and partnerships? Surely it’s good to reward achievement, success and encourage pride in all endeavors.

Can anyone feel negative toward these basic desires?

I know we can add, or subtract, but let’s keep it simple for now.

Now ask yourself:

— What is right about accruing $200 million on Congress’ salary?

— Can it be right to knowingly fabricate a false reason for Americans to die in Benghazi?

— Is it reasonable to put state secrets and lives at risk by lying about your electronic communication method and its vulnerability to hacking by foreign adversaries?

— Is it OK to run guns to known enemies and terrorists?

— What can be right about making proven allies weaker and known enemies stronger?

— Does it bother you to discover that Loretta Lynch (attorney general) and James Comey (FBI head) were involved in securing a favorable result for the Clintons in the Whitewater money laundering scandal 20 years ago? Does “conflict of interest” stir you, just slightly?

Any answers you may still need are readily available on Google/fact check and in the heads of anyone who has not been raised to totally believe their foolhardy “Kumbaya” professors, politicians, or equally biased media.

So, seek the truth, please, and you will get closer to the best, genuine patriot to lead us.

God bless America.
