The Indianola Beach Improvement Club owns a clubhouse on Indianola Road and property on the opposite side of Indianola Road, called the pavilion. Both properties are available for rent.

Indianola Road is a county road, available to all. The club has no right or benefit to close this street when renting their properties. This was recently done on July 18, when the road between the two properties, was blocked off. This closure was from approximately 10 a.m. until after 10 p.m.

This closure required all vehicular traffic, including police and fire, to follow a circuitous and unmarked route.

The club oversteps its bounds when closing and, in effect, renting out the public right-of-way.
