To get my vote, I hear state Sen. Derek Kilmer tell me he cares about the welfare of each of us in the 26th District and the growth of businesses.
The Public Disclosure Commission report for Mr. Kilmer says that he raised $258,000. But to to my amazement, only 20 percent of the cash donated to Kilmer came from inside the district.
The remaining $207,000 came from outside of Washington and the 26th District.
You’re a slave to your debtor.
Derek Kilmer does not answer to the people in the 26th District. He answers the people who provided 80 percent of the cash he’s using to get re-elected.
The Evergreen Freedom Foundation’s “Hey Big Spender” rating shows Derek Kilmer voted for more than $500 million in new taxes and fees, and for a 33 pervent increase in state spending.
Does this sound like Kilmer is for the taxpayer or businesses?
Project Vote Smart puts business support ratings for Mr. Kilmer by the National Federation of Independent Business, the Washington Retail Association and the Association of Washington Business are at 44 percent, 63 percent, and 51 percent out of 100, respectfully.
All are failing grades for his support of business.
We need someone whose first concern is the 26th District welfare, not someone with out of state debts to pay back.
Facts tell me Derek Kilmer does not match up with our need in a representative for the 26th District.
Derek Kilmer will not get my vote this year.
