LETTER | Citizens cannot afford Schlicher

Read believe there is a 'fundamental' difference between candidates

The fundamental difference between the two candidates running for Washington State’s 26th Legislative District is that Sen. Nathan Schlicher believes that government can and should take our money because it can spend it more wisely than we can. State. Rep. Jan Angel believes that the best decisions on spending are made by individuals.

When he was presented with a “no new taxes” budget that would have increased funding to education by $1 billion, Schlicher voted no. After voting no, he turned around and voted for a series of amendments that would have increased state spending by $325 million and required new taxes. (SB 5034, Amendments 240,241,242, and 246)

Washington State and its citizens cannot afford Schlicher. Please vote for Jan Angel and her fiscal sanity.
