On behalf of Central Kitsap School District and the Board of Directors, we want to thank our community for supporting the CK bond and levy. We worked hard to earn your trust when it comes to these measures. We’ve kept our promises. We’ve involved parents and community members in our planning processes. Now we are excited to keep moving forward!
Bonds are for buildings — and you’ll see lots of changes to our buildings in the coming years. Our first priority is to improve security by creating new front entrances for our schools. We will also reduce our use of portables and build two brand new schools. This is a great investment for our community.
Levies are for learning — and ours supports almost every area of our daily operations. These funds will allow us to continue providing a well-rounded, quality education for our students. That’s what they deserve, and it’s what our community expects.
We encourage citizens to attend our meetings, review our budgets, and ask questions. Get involved in our schools. You’ll like what you see! In the meantime, we pledge to keep your trust by being honest and open in all areas, and by continuing to keep our promises.
Once again, thank you for your support!
— Bruce Richards, CKSD board president and David McVicker, CKSD school board superintendent.
