Legislature
The spending doesn’t stop
One would think that any legislature facing a $2.4 billion deficit would cut back on spending. Not in Washington state. This year’s supplemental budget continues the spending spree begun last year.
The Legislature obviously believes it can get blood out of a turnip: the voters. It won’t quit spending until we, the voters, give them the message by voting these big spenders out of office next November.
We the people of Washington, the voters, want change and we want it now.

Restroom is back
in business
We are very happy to report to our trail walkers that the Clear Creek Trail restroom is back in business! Just in time for our Earth Day events at the Interpretive Center today.
The entire credit goes to Bob MacShane of HD Fowler Company who was relentless in finding the problem and supplying the parts to fix it. He got some great support from Brent of Action On Site Services who came down and pumped out the sump. Our restroom guests can feel much relieved that the community has such marvelous business supporters!
We can not adequately express our gratitude when the business community comes to our rescue like this. When we get such support from community- minded businesses, it is a humbling and inspiring experience.
Thanks a million guys.
