Common courtesy abounds in Bremerton

I enjoyed your article. I see random acts of kindness each time I venture out in public. Bremerton is a special place, with wonderful people. Ride the bus, walk on the foot ferry. Everyday people doing everyday things. Give a smile, get a smile. Just image if we ALL focused on the good that people are doing each day. All that attention to good would create even more good. Thanks for starting the ball rolling.

Lots to see and do

Been to downtown Bremerton lately? You may know part of Pacific Avenue and sidewalks are partially blocked off. Don’t let that keep you away, it can be an adventure and fun place to be. Bremerton has new stores — all of which are open — like Tami Sioux on Fourth Street with her “unique silverware jewelry” and other unique items; FreshLocal on Fourth Street, a produce and grocery store; Simply Renewed and Antiques has moved to a new, larger location on corner of Pacific and Burwell. Also Naval Museum, Kitsap Historical Museum, Puppet Museum, Ish (a vintage clothes shop) on Fourth Street; Amy Burnett’s Gallery has a collection of artwork; Collective Visions has local artist’s works, plus monthly concerts by artists from all around.

There are also a nice variety of restaurants, coffee shops, candy shops, sandwich shops and miscellaneous shops that will make a visit worth your while and time.

You may have to walk a little after you park (good exercise?), but do not let that stop you. See for yourself what downtown Bremerton has to offer. Support our local merchants — they support us.
