Hospice of Kitsap County has been serving the terminally ill and their families since 1979.
Since then, we have helped thousands of patients and their loved ones get the care and support they desperately need at this major crossroad of life.
We are a non-profit and are funded through Medicare, insurance and donations. With the combination of recession factors and budget cuts, we are having to think outside the box in order to do more with less. This is where we look to you, our community for help.
Money is money, but time is also money. Can you spare a few hours a week to assist in a number of exciting and rewarding volunteer roles? We are particularly looking for those willing to help out in our new thrift store in downtown Bremerton, certified masseuses or hair stylists who are able to offer their services to patients and families, volunteers for our Silverdale office, and Fred Lowthian Care Center and homeside patient volunteers. Full training is offered.
We are also looking for medical professionals — doctors, nurses and social workers — who are willing and able to volunteer their time in a professional capacity. We are interested in short-term volunteers too: students or active duty military looking to get service hours or those looking to gain job experience while looking for employment.
Anyone interested, please call me for a chat and application: 360-620–3096, jennifer.cleverdon@hospicekc.org.
