More than $3,000 raised for Morrow Manor

The Girls Night Out planning committee and the Historic Downtown Poulsbo Association offer a huge thanks to all those who participated in the ninth annual Girls Night Out on May 6.

The Girls Night Out planning committee and the Historic Downtown Poulsbo Association offer a huge thanks to all those who participated in the ninth annual Girls Night Out on May 6.

We would like to thank our Poulsbo police officers and our firefighters (names not available) for volunteering their time to greet the ladies and hand out bags. Their time was very much appreciated. The night could not have begun without them.

Thank you to the new Slippery Pig for hosting this year’s After Party and to the following merchants and individuals who generously donated items and certificates to the After Party gift-basket drawings:

Nordic Maid, Ken Blair, Fishline, Samantha from NCAD, Passiko, Urban Artefacts, Samae, Sluys Bakery, Quilt Shop, Marina Market, Haden Starbuck, Crimson Cove Smoked Specialties, Carrie Goller Gallery, Joan Wells, Cups Espresso Cafe, Wide Mouth Frog, Closet Transfer, Raevyn Blue Antiques & Collectibles, Boehm’s Chocolates, Kitsap Mosaics, Tickled Pink, and Casa Luna.

We are so thankful to our friends at the North Kitsap Herald/Sound Publishing for their in-kind donations; to Blue Sky Printing for all their patience with us on deadlines and changes; and to the wonderful folks at Liberty Bay Auto for their helium donation as well as matching funds donation to help build Morrow Manor.

Huge thanks to Annie LaValle of Sound Publishing for once again being part of our planning committee, all her tireless hours of work on creating beautiful print materials for us, and for her unexpected manning of one of the bag booths. She always has a smile and a calm approach, which was a tremendous blessing. Thanks, Annie!

Our biggest thanks go to all the ladies who attended the event. Your bag donations and shopping helped raise more than $3,000, which was passed onto the Rotary Foundation and will go toward helping build Morrow Manor. Your support will help meet a big need in our little community.
