I’m not sure what motivated some to say to Goodwill you have to leave and find a new place. I find it very sad that Goodwill had to leave Silverdale so the mall could get more parking for customers.
Judicial actions by democratically appointed liberal judges are slowly tearing apart the Constitution and this great nation.
Democrats and liberals for decades have constantly assaulted the first amendment, second amendment and marriage. Their judges convolute and haze every word of the constitution to fit their political agenda.

Cornelius “Pete” Ross Jr. died June 10 at the age of 75, but his memory will live on through Ross Field and the hundreds of kids who play on the field each year. Mr. Ross and his wife of 55 years, Dona, were steadfast in the creation of the ballfields.
Throughout April and May, the vast majority of red-light camera tickets were written for running the red light in the southbound right-turn only lane at the corner of 16th and Warren. At least one traffic light camera reviewer believed the absence of a turn arrow light could possibly constitute a free right turn for this lane. Seeing an enormous revenue stream drying up, the city took action to prevent this from happening. In what is akin to first issuing expired parking tickets, and then installing the parking meters, Larry Matel, P.E. (Pedestrian Exterminator?)–Managing Engineer, Transportation issued a memo on May 27 to Judge James Doctor, Lt. Pete Fisher and Mike Meacham.

I would like to ask this of all citizens of Washington state, “Do you feel safe in your community?” “Do you feel safe walking in the evening in our parks and downtown areas?” I’m not a supporter of Barack Obama, but he may have it right when he says, “We need change we can believe in.”
Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue thanks the community for supporting and participating in the 23rd Annual Kids’ Day, June 7. This year’s tremendously successful event was a result of collaborative efforts by sponsors, local businesses, community organizations, volunteers and the many kids and families who participated in the interactive day.
The Clear Creek Task Force celebrated National Trails Day in a big way. We hosted lots of great activities for kids and joined with other groups to improve our community. It was that special combination of rewarding hard work and fun that made this Trails Day one to remember.

After reading the bigoted disinformative diatribe by Mike Eggert (CK Reporter, May 24), I´ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that no one else wrote and you just had to fill that space. Having, as a non-Jew, spent a lifetime witnessing the tragic history of the Jewish people unfold, Eggert wrote mainly of the reaction of the Israeli to the stubborn hostility to their settlement following their near extermination in Europe. He omitted the forced migration from Muslim lands of millions of Jews plus the effects of the generations of de-humanizing hate built up by these Muslims.
Our senior prom is a once-in-a-lifetime event that was an all-around success. The Central Kitsap High School senior prom for the class of 2008 was not only fun, but also safe. The most important issue raised in preparation for this memorable night was the prevention of drunk driving. Under the direction of Mock Crash Chair Janice McFarland, CK Counselor Randy Templeton, MADD Coordinator Marsha Masters, and with the support of the administration and staff, the annual Mock Crash on April 22 touched the hearts of the students as well as the community.
