I am writing to urge anyone who still has questions about the Village Green Metropolitan Park District ballot measure to vote in favor of it. In my 20 years working for the post office in Kingston, I have seen the community develop and grow in positive ways, but this project and the people involved in it are more inspiring than anything else I have seen happening — so much so, that I have been motivated to volunteer my time to the community, and I’ve never done that before now. The community really needs everything planned at the Village Green Park — the park, the library, the senior center, the Boys & Girls Club, and the community meeting rooms. I’m convinced that the people who are behind the Village Green have done their homework and will keep the taxes low and not spend money that is not needed. That’s important to me because I’m a blue-collar worker who doesn’t have discretionary income but I believe in paying for what’s constructive for my community and our families.

Please vote yes for the Village Green Metropolitan Park District.
