Passage is paid for by taxpayers

The abandonment of a working culvert in the crossing of the tide flat in Kingston is well under way. The bypass route has been opened and excavation has begun.

The abandonment of a working culvert in the crossing of the tide flat in Kingston is well under way. The bypass route has been opened and excavation has begun.

I must expres my regret at the large expenditure of tax monies on this unnecessary and unwarrantable project.

Further displeasure is provoked by the signboard at the location, which calls the work “The Stillwater Fish Passage Project.”

Stillwater, an environmental group, has no financial obligation in the project. To name the work, paid for by the taxpayer, after this largely vocal group is insulting and without reason.
