In my opinion, Randy Boss is correct in what he stated (“Transportation Commission makes final photo-tolling pitch,” Jan. 21) concerning transactions and the 22 employees expected to handle this workload.

The people representing Department of Transportation are not telling the truth.

More state employees will have to be hired — my guess would be between 50 and 100 new hires, but it could be more.

Do the taxpayers want more state employees?

Anyone who has worked in an office or if their main job is stuffing envelopes can see through this misinformation.

We are being told what they want us to hear, regardless if true or not.

This project should be scrapped and the toll booths left intact.

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.

Washington cannot afford this reckless spending. Although the 520 Bridge will not start for a few years, the state will start collecting tolls this year.

When this project does start, the money will not be there.

It will have been spent long ago.

I don’t trust the Department of Transportion to have control over the tolls.

In the past, millions of dollars have been wasted through mismanagement of revenue and cost overruns.

Ask your representatives to stop the photo-tolling until true cost figures are presented.

Hold the state accountable for the revenue that is collected.
