I urge citizens to vote “yes” for both North Kitsap School District levies.

These renewal levies will not increase property taxes. A “yes” on the Educational Programs and Operations Levy is needed to help pay for many necessities such as special education, custodians, nurses, and counselors.

A “yes” vote for the Capital Levy is needed to help cover costs of keeping all the schools safe for students and everybody.

I am very appreciative of citizens passing the capital bond in 2001 when I was on the district school board. Money from that bond helped pay for Kingston High School and for remodeling other buildings. Now continually maintaining all school buildings is financially prudent.
