Reform conservative James M. Olsen’s 30-year U.S. Coast Guard experience gives him keen insights into the transportation issues facing Olympia and Kitsap.

Reform conservative James M. Olsen’s 30-year U.S. Coast Guard experience gives him keen insights into the transportation issues facing Olympia and Kitsap.

His assignments in port safety, security, and naval warfare hinged on a rapid flow of material to the mission. Olsen has effectively articulated his support for a critical transportation plan to increase citizen and commercial traffic flow as the path to new private sector jobs. Olsen states that traffic congestion and failing transportation infrastructure endanger our economic health.

Olsen has also targeted the 23rd Legislative District projects for Highways 305 and 3, as well as an expansion of the Agate Pass Bridge. Olsen is committed to a safe and seamless transportation link between West Sound and points east and to foreign markets.  Another major target for Olsen is meaningful reform of Washington State Ferries on leadership, vision, and fleet-replacement costs.

Kitsap will have a transportation champion in James M. Olsen.
