Tahitian visitors miss Washington

Thank you for including us in your Herald (“Pacific cultures share at Suquamish,” April 1).

My name is Esther Tetuamanuhiri and I was one of the speakers for the group. It was such a pleasure to be there with the Native Americans to share and learn each other’s culture and traditions.

These children had a lot to tell their parents and have brought back many unforgettable souvenirs and memories from that day. One of the students even opened a page called “SEATTLE IS BEAUTIFUL” on Facebook. All the students are on this page and they exchange memories, feelings, and fun things with people they met in Seattle. If you are on Facebook, please do not hesitate to take a peek on their wall. Most of them comment in French, but some answer in English. To this day, those feelings and hearts are still burning for Seattle.

Please visit us when you can.
