On May 25, the family’s golden retriever was unavoidably struck and killed by a vehicle on Highway 3 close to the Hood Canal Bridge.
We would like to thank the driver of the vehicle for stopping and doing what he could. His help at the scene was appreciated very much.
My heartfelt gratitude to the women who stopped their cars and controlled the oncoming traffic so family members could safely do what was necessary. Without their help, the situation could have quickly become more tragic. With some of the things going on these days, you find yourself wondering if there are people out there who just know how to do the right thing. We found out that night they are needed.
